Through our Parish School of Religion, we offer weekly religious instruction to children in kindergarten through eighth grade who are attending public schools. Our Lady Parish School of Religion represents a commitment from the parish expressing the mission of the Catholic Church to proclaim the mission of Jesus Christ to all people. This is accomplished through a program of continuous religious education aimed at teaching gospel values, nurturing faith development, and moral formation of each student. Our Lady School of Religion seeks to assist parents in their role as primary educators in preparing their children to hear and live the teaching of Christ as embodied in our Catholic Tradition and to grow in living relationship with God and others.

Classes are held each Wednesday (excluding holidays) from 6:45 to 8:00 p.m. in our school building.

PSR Sacrament Program

Our Lady Parish School of Religion’s Sacrament Program is designed with a focus on family participation, study of the sacraments, as well as service and celebration of the sacrament. Some events require mandatory attendance by the students and parent(s).

The PSR aides the parents in preparing their child/children for the reception of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist in the second grade and Confirmation in the eighth grade.

It is absolutely necessary for students attending the sacrament grades, second and eighth grade, to attend classes regularly. They must also complete all assignments and participate fully in the process of the program. Parent involvement is very important in both sacramental programs. At least one parent MUST attend all parent meetings. Parent meetings will be listed on the PSR Calendar. Advance notification of mandatory meetings will be sent via e-mail.

Please inform the PSR Director or Pastor if your child has not received prior sacraments. Arrangements can be made to obtain proper religious education to receive these sacraments.
