Funded through contributions to the Beyond Sunday campaign, the Beyond Sunday Education Fund Scholarship Program provides tuition assistance to middle-income families seeking a Catholic education for their children. Beyond Sunday is open to students of all faiths, with preference given to Catholic students whose families are Catholic and registered in a parish in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Elementary school awards renew through the eighth grade, and high school awards renew through the twelfth grade.  Annual income requalification is required for all awards.

For the 2025-2026 school year, Beyond Sunday Elementary Scholarships will be tiered based on family income, with a maximum award amount of $2,000. Approximately 110 new awards will be available. A minimum annual tuition payment of $500 per student is required. Beyond Sunday Scholarships are open to both new and existing students, and are transferable if the student transfers to another participating Catholic elementary school within the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Beyond Sunday Scholarships are limited to one per family per school, though families may be eligible for additional tuition assistance through other programs.

The open application period for Beyond Sunday Scholarships is January 21 – February 28, 2025.

The people of the Archdiocese of St. Louis established this endowed fund through their contributions to the Returning God’s Gifts campaign. This ten million dollar endowment was established in May, 1999. Grants are made on the basis of financial need as determined by the application process. Grants may be used for Catholic children in Catholic families to attend an archdiocesan or parochial elementary school or an archdiocesan or parochial high school. Annual income guidelines are not published because both income and annual expenses are considered in the award process. The 2025-2026 application deadline is February 28th, 2025.

Applications will be considered for students of income-eligible Catholic families who would like to attend grades K-12 at any archdiocesan or parish school. Students who are new to the school and those who already attend will be considered.
